Umpires

Foothills Little League is looking for umpires for the 2012 Season. Qualified umpires are an important part of insuring safety, competitiveness, consistency, and fairness in our league. Foothills Little League needs to supply umpires for Juniors, Majors/Nationals and AAA levels. Last season we provided umpires to cover over 150 games.

Foothills will continue to pay premium rates to its Level 1/2/3 umpires. Umpires should be a minimum age of 11, have a good knowledge of baseball, and have taken at least a Level 1 NUCP training course. CABUA (www.cabua.ca) lists NUCP umpire training for Level 1/2/3, typically in April.  The Level 1 & 2 clinics are run by your local Little League District in conjunction with Baseball Alberta. Foothills Little League will reimburse you for the course when completed. These umpire-training courses fill quickly and course dates will be provided as information becomes available. Come out and enjoy the best seat at the ball diamond.
