All Stars Summer Baseball
2025 Summer Ball Details!
Basics
Each team will be comprised of 12 - 14 players, selection will be based on tryout results. There will typically be 12 full time players and up to 2 "fill-in" players depending on full time player availability. Fill-in players will not be charged a fee and will be used from time to time when the team is short of full time players
The cost for Summer Ball is as follows:
Minors and Majors - $325. This fee covers entry fees, practice diamonds, registration, hat and summer ball jersey.
Juniors/Intermediates/Seniors - $325This fee covers entry fees, practice diamonds, registration, hat and summer ball jersey.
The number of teams we form will be determined by the number of players that register. Last year we formed two Majors Teams, two Minors Teams and one Teenage Teams. We will try our best to place all kids on a team but we can not guarantee that everyone will be placed on a team. If your child does not make a team, your entire registration fee will be fully refunded.
Please note that all players need to supply their own white pants, red belt and red socks if they wear knicker style pants.
Try-Outs
Try outs are tentatively scheduled for Sunday May 25, 2025.
Schedule
This years All-Star Summer Ball season will run from June 20th to August 4th. Games will be played on the following weekends:
Preliminary Seeding Weekends (Team must play a minimum of 2 of the 3 weekends)
June 20-22 Weekend
June 27-29 Weekend
July 4-6 Weekend
Regular Summer Ball Season Weekends (Team must play a minimum of 2 of the 3 weekends)
July 11-13 Weekend
July 18-21 Weekend
July 25-28 Weekend
Championship Weekends
August 1-4 Weekend
There is a strong possibility that your team will be required to travel within Alberta (Lethbridge, Medicine Hat or Edmonton) one or two weekends. All travel costs are additional and the responsibility of each player and their family. Travel is a REQUIREMENT as part of the Summer Ball Program - location depends on Tournament Host Sites and will be determined at a later date (as Associations form teams).
If we form more than 1 team per age group these teams will NOT BE parity teams, but rather slotted in different divisions (AAA, AA, A) based upon skill.
Practices will occur during the week - and will differ in numbers based upon each teams needs and diamond availability. You can expect 2-3 practices during the week.
Eligibility
Any player may try out for any All-Star team for which they are eligible to play based on their age and residence eligibility requirements. Depending on the number of players trying out, not all players may make a team. If this is the case, the registration fee will be refunded. You must have played Regular Season in Little League and participated in a MINIMUM of 8 Games.
For All-Star team selection, you must play on a league team, live or attend school within the Foothills Little League boundaries and be of legal age for your division based upon this age chart.
Coaches
All coaches will need to fill out a LITTLE-LEAGUE-CANADA-VOLUNTEER-APPLICATION before they can be selected as a coach, this is mandatory. Volunteer forms need to be emailed to our Safety Coordinator. fhllsafety@gmail.com
